Milk Bar is a landmark mixed-use development located on one of the most prominent corners of Bondi Beach — the junction of Campbell Parade and Hall Street. The project involved the careful integration of a heritage façade into a newly constructed, architecturally-designed building that blends retail, residential, and lifestyle uses.

Key Features:

  • Two-level basement construction
  • Ground floor retail anchored by Riverina Gelato
  • Three floors of bespoke residential apartments
  • Full-floor penthouse with panoramic beach views
  • Retained heritage façade with new structural interface
  • Top-down methodology to minimise disruption and manage site constraints

The project was delivered using a top-down methodology due to site constraints and the need to retain and brace the heritage façade. This required careful structural sequencing and proactive coordination across all trades and consultants.

The interior scope featured high-end custom joinery throughout, including a patina brass-lined lobby with integrated banquette seating, bespoke kitchens and vanities, and finely crafted curved stair details — all coordinated closely with Richards Stanisic and Maxton Fox.

Milk Bar stands as a unique fusion of heritage character and contemporary design. Through close collaboration with architects, designers, and trades, Trescon has delivered a building that enhances Bondi’s beachfront fabric with precision and intent.
