We’re proud to announce that Trescon has been appointed to deliver KEW Hillcrest – a boutique residential project that blends heritage architecture with modern design, set high above Sydney Harbour in Rose Bay.

Designed by Woods Bagot, KEW Hillcrest comprises six ultra-luxury residences, including the adaptive re-use of the heritage-listed “Hillcrest” building and the construction of two new architecturally designed wings. Our scope also includes the excavation and construction of a new basement below the existing structure – a complex and carefully engineered addition to an already remarkable site.

First built in 1890 as a pair of grand semi-detached homes (Dalkey and Bianopa), Hillcrest is a rare surviving example of Victorian Italianate architecture in the Eastern Suburbs. Once presented as a “marine villa,” it was one of the earliest buildings constructed on the subdivided Tivoli Estate, known for its harbour views and expansive gardens.

This next chapter will see Hillcrest reimagined as a luxury residence that honours its past while embracing contemporary living – a balance of heritage preservation, structural ingenuity, and refined detailing.

Construction is set to commence soon, and we look forward to collaborating closely with the project team to bring this unique vision to life.
